Dedicated time planting flowers in a small flowerbed on the playground. 1st grade was kind enough to mentor and support our young Eagles as they planted flowers and spread fresh mulch.
Pre K4 used their day of service to make door hanging kits for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. They also made cards and prayed for the children and families at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
Kindergarten and 8th grade made special bags filled with candy, knick knacks, bubbles, etc. for children and families at the Ronald McDonald House. Students decorated the bags with happy pictures made with love and then they filled them with goodies.
We enjoy pairing Kindergarten and 8th Grade together through a mentorship program throughout the year, and this particular day is one of our favorite gatherings between the two grades.
Our 2nd grade brought a favorite picture book to read to our youngest Eagles in Pre K3. Our younger students felt so BIG and proud to read with their upper school buddies.
Our 3rd grade students wrote letters to the retired Sisters of Mercy at Mercy Convent.
Our 4th grade students made cards for the Children’s Hospital and collected picture and chapter books to donate.
Worked hard as they visited the Dominican Motherhouse for a day of service. Time was given to making rosaries, gardening and much more! They also got to participate in a campus tour.
The 5th and 7th grade boys did a service project for The Store. They made prayer cards for families that shop at The Store in hopes to brighten their day while they are in a transition time in their lives and let them know that they are not alone.
