The school has a board which helps facilitate growth and improvement of the program. The board consists of various committees which meet as needed throughout the school year. The meetings of the board are open to all parents; the times and date are advertised well in advance via the Tuesday Folder. Meetings are on the 3rd Thursday. of each month at 5:30PM and occur once a month throughout the year. Members of the board consist of chairs from the various School Advisory Board committees, along with the Pastor, faculty representative, and Principal.

Annual Fund Committee - The primary purpose of this committee is to plan and execute the annual fund. Duties include: creating all materials, mailing out the Annual Fund Brochure, planning development activities, and, coordinating volunteers. Meetings typically occur during the evening and in the first half of the school year.

Technology Committee - This group is responsible for evaluating the school’s technology offerings. Members should have some experience with either technology and/or teaching; they do not need to be directly involved with the school or parish. Their purpose is to ensure proper planning, execution and funding of technology implementation throughout the school. Meetings occur at the request of the chair.

Finance Committee - Every year the School Advisory Board’s Finance Committee creates a school budget for approval by the Parish Finance Committee. This must be done prior to 15 January of each year. The committee also explores issues such as endowments, financial aid and expense/revenue trends. The meetings occur during October through January, during the evening hours. Though these meetings are open to anyone, parents with budgeting or accounting backgrounds would best serve this committee.

Alumni Committee - This group maintains relationships with school alumni through special events, partnering programs between students and alumni, and publications. As events arise, members of this committee help coordinate efforts to keep alumni connected to their school.

Planning Committee - It is essential that the school is always looking forward with a visioninto the future as a way of improving the educational offerings at Saint Ann School. This group meets in the evening, 4-6 times per year to evaluate the school’s progress in implementing the school’s Strategic Plan. Meeting dates are established by the committee chair.

Marketing Committee - This committee is responsible for creating and distributing marketing materials for the school. They also help the school disperse information and pictures of school events to local papers. All parents would be helpful to this committee, but those with public relations or advertising backgrounds would be especially valuable. Evening meetings occur at the request of the committee chair.

Recruitment Committee - One of the most important things the School Advisory Board does is help recruit students; for they are the lifeblood of this and every parochial school. This group helps coordinate recruitment events such as speaking at parishes, and publishing and distributing marketing literature.
