Classroom Code of Conduct

Homework Policy
- Students must use their planners daily to record all homework assignments
- Homework is due the next day (unless specifically told otherwise)
- Students missing school due to excused absences will be given reasonable time to complete missed work
- Missing, late and incomplete homework will be reflected on Power School
- To receive full credit, homework must be neat and completed according to assignment directions
Grading Policy
Students earn grades using the following upper school policy:
- Tests/Projects = 60%
- Quizzes = 10%
- Homework = 30%
Homework is generally graded based on completion (especially on daily math assignments). If a student does not have the assignment complete on the due date he/she may turn it in the following school day for half credit. Please continue to check Power School regularly in order to best keep up with student grades.
Quality Work Checklist:
Did I...
- write legibly in my best cursive (except in math class)?
- write in complete sentences by restating the question? (math: this means writing the problem)
- put a proper heading on my paper?
- erase all mistakes completely?
- use proper spacing, including margins?
- use clean paper that is not torn, wrinkled, or full of the spiral "fuzzy" edges?
- edit my work for accuracy and grammar?
- make the best word choices?
