There are many themes covered in our classroom this year.  Here are some of the main ones:  Saints, Animals and Habitats, Map Skills, Christmas Around the World, and our main ones – Friendship and Responsibility!

Our 5 Class room Rules are:

1.     Follow directions when given.

2.     Stay in your seat to do your work.

3.     Raise your hand to speak.

4.     Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

5.     Be kind and considerate at all times.

Homework Guidelines

I will give homework every Monday through Thursday.  Your child is expected to write down his/her homework from the board into his/her assignment planner.  Your child is also expected to get the books together that he/she needs for homework that night.  Your child will have about 30 minutes of homework each evening.  For some children it may take longer, depending on the child’s ability.

*It is also very important that you check your child’s planner and work that he/she will turn in for the next day.  This will show if your child is fully understanding the work that he/she is doing.

 Student helpers are changed at the beginning of each week.  The helper board is posted in the classroom for the children to see.
