Maestro's Music Notes

Navy Cycle - Spring
 

Students in second grade have been learning how to sing in 3 and 4 part rounds! This really helps them to learn how to blend and listen to others while giving them an opportunity to sing independently from other groups. We are currently working on writing our very own songs!

Students in fifth grade are studying notes and rests and reviewing our rhythm-reading skills. We are preparing to add instruments to a middle-eastern song called "Desert Theme".

Our eighth graders are hard at work in our guitar lab learning new chords and strumming patterns! We are working on playing "They'll Know We Are Christians", "Trading My Sorrows", and are also practicing how to play two-octave scales!

We will be accepting new members at our first practice in March. Students in grades 1 through 4 are able to participate. We meet on club Wednesdays. Please email me if you are interested in more information!
